CASEing The Web
Hello lovely people. As it is a Bank Holiday here in the UK, and, unsurprisingly, raining, I got out my unused Stampin' Up stamp set 'Jar Of Love', to give it some inky love!
As I am not very good at flower arranging, either for real, or with paper, I went on the look out to see what others had done with the set. I came across this lovely card by Kay Kalthoff of Stamping To Share This is her card.
I have changed it somewhat, so it isn't an exact copy and this is my take.
As I purchased a pack of 250 of these doilies, you are probably going to get sick of seeing them on my cards, but, well, a girl's got to get her money's worth! 😉
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know!
If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

Love this! These flowers are wonderfully done. I think I might need this set, off to check it out. It's finally sunny here today. We set an all time record for the most rain in Seattle from October through April. We are so ready for some blue sky! Have a great Sunday.
ReplyDeletewell, your arrangement and the whole card is much prettier than the one you "cased" - love the colors you used!

Your flower arrangement looks wonderful Hazel. Beautiful card.

Hazel, I'd certainly say that with the lovely doily and that petal burst embossing you have made the card your own, and I agree with Betty - I find yours to be much more captivating than the original.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card...your flowers are just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHazel, I love Kay's card, but also love how you changed the colors and added more flowers to your arrangement. 250 doilies...oh my. I got I think 20 several years ago and still have plenty left! TFS your beauty my friend. Hugs...
ReplyDeleteI adore all the pretty flowers you have used for your arrangement and the embossed background is such pretty colour too. I love the CASEd card by Kay, but I think your fuller and more varied arrangement adds more interest. x
ReplyDeleteI love your spring bouquet, Hazel! I have trouble using doilies and I love how you've used one on this card! So pretty, my friend! I hope you've had a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteNow I don't believe for a minute that you're no good at flower arranging. Your arrangement on your card looks perfect! I love the flowers you've chosen and the colors. The doily adds a sweet femininity. Beautiful job, Hazel!
ReplyDeleteYour flower arranging looks perfectly fine to my eye! I feel like I've got the same problem, though. I never know quite how to layer lots of blooms together and still make them seem artful. You've done a great job with this beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteFabulous! I think you'd do very well with flower arranging. I love the added doilie too - look forward to seeing some more of those! xx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and delicate with the doily background and your gorgeous bouquet of spring flowers. The colours are beautiful, Hazel!! xx
ReplyDeleteI love doilies! So it will take me a long time to get sick of them...lol! Your bouquet of flowers is lovely in that jar! Off to check out this stamp set...
