First Christmas Card . . . In a Long While

Today, I made my first Christmas card in a few years.  Just a simple background stamp, so quick and easy.

I used Wink of Stella on the trees, but you can't really see it in the photo so I tried a different angle, but still think you can't see it.  Also, in this one the greeting looks grey, but it is in actual fact white on black.

Another Card Made With A Pre-made Background

Here we have another card that I made with one of my backgrounds made from previous crafting sessions (playing with products I hadn't used in a very long time.)  I needed to establish whether they were still OK after my very long hiatus from card making.

And this photo shows the shine better.

Playing With Backgrounds

Today, I decided that I needed to do something with the inordinate amount of backgrounds I have made during various crafting sessions (playing around with inks, paper, glitter paste and stencils.)  This is one that I came up with.

I didn't think the glitter paste showed it's true beauty here so I took the next picture

I think this picture shows the shine better.  All supplies are old supplies, but I am trying to use what I have rather than buying the latest 'must have' products as I did before (it was getting out of hand) so I'm afraid I can't say where I purchased them or what brand they are.  But if you wish to replicate this idea at all, why not just use what you have already and come here and link what you have done, I would love to see what you come up with!  That's it for today, I will be back again soon, have a lovely day!

A Twofer!

Today, ladies I have what is commonly referred to as a twofer.  I needed to make a belated birthday card (sometimes I can be a bad friend - hangs head in shame.)

When I cut out the flourish to go on the card I couldn't bring myself to throw away the 'negative', so decided to make two cards!  (All the supplies used are items that I purchased a few years ago, so there is no practical reason to list them, as they are probably no longer available), however, if you wish to replicate these cards at all, just use what you have available.  You could use a flower die or another flourish if you have them.  Also, you could use any shape 'edging' dies that you might have.  The texture on the background of the second card was made using my most favourite background embossing plate, again, use whatever background embossing folder you might have.

Here is the first card.

And here is the second, made with the 'negative'.
