A Five Hour Retrospective For CAS Mix Up

Hello again my lovelies!  I don't know if you caught my post earlier HERE
where I mentioned that I was going to enter the card to two challenges, until I realised there was no stamping on it, so I was unable to enter it in to Loll and Bonnie's 'CAS Mix Up Challenge'

http://casmixup.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/cas-mix-up-march-challenge.html

Well, I was still kicking my self a few hours later (as I loved the way the smooshed panel had turned out), when I had a light-bulb moment and I added some stamping in the form of a partial sentiment - I hope it isn't classed as cheating, as I do think that it was actually crying out for that addition anyway - so, I stamped 'sending' on a tiny snippet of card-stock and adhered it just above the word 'Hugs'.  I hope this is allowed, as it was only made hours ago!

Anyway, here it is now, let me know if you think that that was what was missing earlier!

Well, there you have it!  Details are as previous post!  HERE

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have visited twice and left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know! If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

  1. i don't think it's cheating at all and it's the perfect addition to add the stamping - so another wonderful card! what is interesting is that i made a very similar smooshed background and the colors look the same only i used my new distress oxide inks. now to do something with it!!

  3. How pretty Hazel and have read your previous post and love that smooshed background with the gorgous shimmer and the vellum works beautifully over the top, and also the die cut sentiment has that bit of glitter too. A great idea to add the stamping to be eligible to enter the CAS Mix Up Challenge. x

  6. Very pretty! And, I think that little white tag for the sentiment really adds a lot with the highlight to the card.

  10. I don't know that one could say it was missing before, Hazel, but I do love that it is there now! I don't think it's cheating. It truly is a gorgeous piece of smooching! I literally know how you felt cause a couple months ago I made a beautiful card for the the Mix Up challenge and only realized just before posting that there was no stamping on it! Unfortunately, I couldn't save mine. Sob. I don't think we'll ever forget that element of the challenge in the future, do you?, lol! Hugs, Darnell

  13. Oh my, this background panel is divine! Love it combined with the vellum and the black & white accents! Btw, I don't think it's cheating. The rules don't say "stamping more than just a greeting"...

  17. Hi Hazel, I too don't consider it as cheating. The addition of the word sending is ace. I love it. And I love that smooshed panel and it looks very refined and sofisticated behind the vellum. Superb, awesome, LOVE it.

  19. I saw this wonderful card some time ago and I was sure that I commented, but no, as it turned out :-( Amazing background, very fiery and vellum miraculously softens and tones colors.
    Great project, Hazel, my friend
