A Fun Fold
Hola from (I hope) sunny Spain! You didn't think I'd forget to leave you something to look at for a full month, did you my friends! There will probably be only one a week, it depends how much I can get done before I go, in between sorting things out for Mum while I am away, to ensure everything goes smoothly!
So, I won't babble, this is the card, CASE'd from somewhere on You Tube, sorry, forgot the link!
Made with the legendary 'Eastern Medallion Suite' by Stampin' Up.
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know!

Squeezing In A Quick One
Hi all you lovely people. I hope you are all having a great weekend, and for those of us having a bank holiday weekend, doesn't it make a change to have a sunny one! Which, of course, is typical, as we are off to Spain, and we have been told that for the day of our arrival and beyond, they have forecast torrential rain and heavy thunderstorms . . . in fact, they have had a severe weather warning!
So, we will be leaving behind the sunshine and heading into our usual UK weather in Spain, where we go to get away from it! Oh well, C'est la vie!
I just had to squeeze in a quick one before we go and enter a quick challenge. And what better challenge to get in on, but my good friends Loll and Bonnie's CAS Mix Up challenge which this month calls for
I'm afraid I don't have a great deal of Alcohol Inks, but I have done what I can with what few I have, my choice is a die-cut.
Here are the pictures.
I must get some more in different colours!
**EDIT**
Just been over to link up, and guess what . . . it ended on the 24th August!!

One Panel, Two Cards & A Mess Up
Hello fellow crafters. I hope you are all well. Today's cards came from one panel, and I will tell you the story as we go.
As you regular readers will know, I have been looking to use up some of my pre-made panels that have been lying around forever. Well, I watched a video for Simon Says Stamp where the person doing the video, used an ink blended panel to do this technique.
So, I picked out a water-coloured panel that I had blended an ombre pink, going from darker pink, to a lighter pink and had sprayed it with shimmer spray. It was really pretty.
Now, this is where I messed up first.
In the video (sorry, I will try and link to it later, but I will have to find it first), she dry embossed the blended panel with a stencil - this I did, successfully - then she took some Nuvo Embellishment Mousse and gently rubbed it over the raised areas, taking care not to get it in the grooves.
This is where the 'mess up' comes in. I took some Imagination Crafts 'Starlight' paint in a rose colour and gently spread it over the raised areas. There were two problems with this, one that I hadn't thought about.
- I was a little clumsy, and some went into the grooves where I didn't want it to go (you will see this in the close-up shots.
- This is the one I hadn't thought about, the paint covered the ombre effect, so you could no longer see it!
And here is the second.
They don't look so bad in real life, as the stunning shimmer and shine from the 'Starlights' (that you can't see all that well in the pictures), dazzles you to the flaws! 😅
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know! I will miss you all!

Let's Be Negative . . .
. . . AND positive
Today, whilst using another pre-made panel, I cut out a flower die from a panel of cream coloured card-stock to use, and decided to use the negative as well as the positive.
First, I added some extra interest by just stamping with my small stamp pad all over the front (later I regretted it, because I felt that the chosen ink was too dark and dominated the piece, but I was committed by then) and I mounted the negative panel with foam tape on to a cream coloured base card to which I had adhered a black layer in order to show through the negative space.
Next, I die cut the butterfly from the same black card-stock as the layering panel. I stamped a sentiment on a strip of cream coloured card-stock and adhered that to a strip of vellum and mounted the whole strip to the front of the card with foam tape, adhered the butterfly and some pearls and called it done.
Next, I adhered the pre-made smooshed watercolour panel to a cream card base that I had embossed with a frame embossing folder and cut a sentiment and another small butterfly from black card-stock and adhered all die cuts to the panel, added some black gems and this is the positive card.
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know!

Using Up Some Stash
Hello sweet crafters. I'm sure that many of you will, like me, have a stash of card panels that you have created whilst experimenting with different mediums and put aside in order to 'make a card with it' and never got round to it. Today, I thought it was high time I started to actually use some.
This card is made with a Brusho piece that I had sprinkled some Brusho on and then spritzed it with water and this was the resulting panel.
I topped the card off with a die cut border piece, stamped the words, added a few rhinestones and spritzed lightly with a home-made shimmer spray and called it done.
Here it is (I don't know why but lately all my plain, white card-stock has ended up with a very slight magenta caste, well, on my monitor anyway), you can see it quite clearly in picture number two here, anyone have any answers for me?

Another Quick & Simple Card . . .
. . . from the Stampin' Up 'Eastern Palace Suite'
Hello crafty peeps! Of course, this stamp and die set needs no introduction any more, as you have seen it so often here (and everywhere), so I will just go ahead and show you the pictures.
Card-stock and ink was Stampin' Up's 'Dapper Denim'.
Have a great weekend lovely people and thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know!

A Missed Deadline
Last week I saw the sketch below for a challenge at the blog, 'Just Add Ink' and I wanted to make a card following the sketch. This is the sketch.
Well, I got busy with one thing and another and missed the deadline by miles! But I still wanted to use the sketch and this is what I came up with.
