Crafting With Friends

One of the advantages of crafting with friends on an evening - apart from getting together with a group of very lovely crafty ladies - is that I tend to take a stamp set or two that I haven't used before and actually get to do something with them!

Last night, I took two sets and I ended stamping three panels which means I have been able to make three cards with them!  This is the first panel I stamped with a Stampin' Up set called, 'Avant Garden'.  This is that card.

The second card, stamped with Stampin' Up, 'Blooms & Wishes', the other set I took, is this one.

I will show you number three when I have added the sentiment - I got so carried away, today making other cards too that - I didn't have time to finish it!

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know! If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

  1. Hazel, these are so beautiful! I love the floral arrangements so much. What a fun rainbow sentiment, too! Your pictures are fabulous and bright. I am wanting to work on my pictures, but I kindof wish they would take themselves, lol.

  3. Hurrah for using NBUS AND having a lovely crafty time with other people - so nice to get together with other crafty people, although invariably after about 4 hours I come away with something half stamped and coloured because I've been talking so much! Love the layering you've done with these - just stamping colour on colour. Really adds depth. xx

  4. Glad you are managing to find more time for crafting Hazel, and also to join in with your craft group again. These two cards are delightful and you always come up with wonderful design and presentation ideas. I love the vellum you have used on the first and the cut out frame with the diagonal line design round it on the second. The flowers are both stamped in pretty colours and the tri-coloured sentiment on the first works beautifully. x

  10. Both your pretty cards are a reminder that spring is not far off! Love the soft pink flower with the rainbow stamped sentiment. The vellum layer adds a softness to your pink frame.

And your second card is so bright and cheerful with the bright yellow. Love the design with your embossed framing.

Always great when we can use some of our NBUS!! xx

  13. I'm lucky enough to share those evenings with you and thoroughly enjoy seeing your card fronts being stamped. It's great to see how you put them together the next day into a card. So glad you are now part of our small craft group x

  15. How wonderful that you manage to be so creative and productive when you are getting together with these ladies! On Thursday night, when I met with my stamping friends, I was so exhausted from a day of constantly being on the go that it took me a while to unwind. The first half I just chatted which was nice and then I played around with a NBUS stamp set and Altenew inks that my friend has. When I come home with my various pieces I don't always get around to making them into a card so my compliments on your discipline and the resulting pretty cards! They look like framed pieces of art!

Lovely that you have a crafty group...it took me two years to find one after I moved. Its so much fun to craft in a group.
