Shades Of Grey!
Hi my lovelies! I do hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It is grey (apt for the title of this post) and miserable here in my part of the UK today - all the better for crafting away in your own little space - which is what I am doing!
Since I have been reorganising I have found a lot of things that I forgot I had and, of course, I have been using them! This card started with that small square of patterned paper you see here and the scrap of vellum cut at an angle (I was going to enter it in the Snippet Playground, but couldn't find the relevant page, sorry Di.)
I took a textured, grey card base and stamped the same leaf cluster all over, in two shades of grey ink - good job I didn't use fifty eh girls 👀 - then I used the same stamp to stamp just one cluster in the darkest grey ink on the snippet of patterned paper, stamped the sentiment, mounted it on to the scrap of vellum and in turn mounted that on to the card base.
I finished the whole thing off with a generous licking of 'Wink Of Stella' and called it done! Here it is, such as it is.
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You make me smile! If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

A Shameless CASE
Today my friends I have the third panel from my Wednesday - you can see the others HERE - crafting session and it is a shameless CASE taken straight from the pages of the latest Stampin' Up catalogue! I liked it so much, I used the exact same layout, stamps & (almost the same) colours, so if you like it, the design belongs to SU!
Have a truly wonderful weekend whatever you are doing my friends!

Crafting With Friends
One of the advantages of crafting with friends on an evening - apart from getting together with a group of very lovely crafty ladies - is that I tend to take a stamp set or two that I haven't used before and actually get to do something with them!
Last night, I took two sets and I ended stamping three panels which means I have been able to make three cards with them! This is the first panel I stamped with a Stampin' Up set called, 'Avant Garden'. This is that card.
The second card, stamped with Stampin' Up, 'Blooms & Wishes', the other set I took, is this one.

Guess What . . .
. . . yes, folks, you guessed it . . . another pre made panel! Unfortunately, I think that for quite a while now, the cards I post will mostly be made with pre made panels! I had a pile of them in a drawer! If anyone has any ideas for me on how to use them, let me know in the comments below! Here it is.
This one is my favourite so far! I do have the other half of this watercolour panel - and the previous one - so they will also follow at some point, I have plans for them!
Thank you so much for spending time to visit today and especially if you have left a comment. They brighten my day!

Another Ready Made Background Piece!
Hello sweet friends. Today I have another card made with another of my backgrounds I had in a drawer. This time I just heat embossed over it with a background stamp and silver embossing powder, added a silver foil layer, a black die-cut sentiment and a few sequins and enamel accents. Unfortunately, the photos don't show the shimmer and shine from the shimmer mist I had used, but it is what it is. Job done! Here are the rest of the photos.
I do hope your weekend is going beautifully and that the rest of the weekend does too. We actually have some sunshine here today! I do love the sunshine and we are certainly due some!
Thank you so much for sharing some of your time with me today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know! Quick Craft Room Update
Just popping in quickly today to show you how the craft space is progressing. We have come across a few snags, but with 'creative thinking' have found a 'work around' for each one. It's not the prettiest of spaces (nothing really matches), but it's a working craft room and as long as it is organised, that'll do for me folks 😏 I am still arranging and re-arranging as I go and some of the shelves are still not full, or even put in the unit in one case, but it is nearly there!! I'm not very good with video, so some of the 'jerky' movements might make you nauseous, so for that, I apologise. It was just easier than putting up a load of pictures and captions!

Using Pre-Made Backgrounds For A Quick 'Fix' Card
Hi sweet friends! As you all know, I am re-arranging my craft space and so, haven't had a great deal of actual crafting time, so I have been getting serious withdrawal symptoms. While tidying up some of my drawers I saw a pile of background pieces that has been made at various times with various products and techniques, so I decided to make a quick card with one of them! This is it!!
I remember making this one with re-inkers (I don't remember how I made them all, but I do remember this one as it was the latest one I made!)

Yes!! It works!
Hello peeps! You remember yesterday, I was telling you about my sticking (or non-sticking to be precise) woes? No? Then see HERE my friend!
Well, I'm here to tell ya, the 'No More Nails' worked like a charm!! I am just quickly going to show you before Ikea are here with my 'Billy's' . . . I just couldn't wait to tell you!
Here is the big 'un.
Here they are side by side for comparison.
And, for scale, with one of our UK A6 standard envelopes (almost the same as the US A2). So you will get an idea of the size. I reckon it should take, maybe, twenty cards with envelopes, pen, address book and stamps!

Disaster Struck! ;)
. . . not once, but many, many times my friends! Now, I might have mentioned before that I am challenged when it comes to making three dimensional objects, and therefore, won't attempt them! However, I have been loving those sweet paper purses/handbags that are all over You Tube at the moment, so, in my infinite wisdom I decided to give it a go.
Don't laugh! This is how it turned out! I'm actually laughing at myself as I type here.
Well, I looked at it and looked at it some more, thinking, 'it looks ever so odd, why does it look so odd?' . . . DUH! Then, of course the penny dropped and I rectified it and this is how it finished up. If you have time, stay tuned after the pictures to hear about the rest of the disasters!!
Oh, yes, and I put a bottle of Tombow beside it in the last pic for scale!
Now, on to the rest of the disasters! Now, being an obvious glutton for punishment, I thought, 'well, it's sweet, but I really wanted to put a card set in it, complete with envelopes, a nice pen and some postage stamps as a gift, so I think I will make a bigger one!
I was quite pleased with myself, as I managed to convert the sizes for a much larger bag! Then, I got to the closure! As the bag was so much larger, my tiny magnet closure I used for the small bag, wasn't really up to the job for the larger bag, so I decided I need two sets of the magnets.
As always, thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know! If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

First mistake with the closure, was adhering the back down first with red line tape, I was now committed - I know, what you're thinking, 'she should be' - so I fiddled and feneagled until I got it into place and tried to adhere them! First, I tried Jennifer McGuire's favourite glue for these types of jobs Ranger Multi Medium Matt, useless (sorry Jennifer, but it was), then I tried Glossy Accents, useless, next I tried Tombow, useless, then I tried, a hot glue gun, useless, finally, in desperation, I tried 'No More Nails' . . . yes, the DIY stuff made for jobs around the house . . . so far, so good, but I have to wait a full twenty four hours for full curing, so I'm not counting my chickens just yet!
Oh, yes, one other thing that I forgot to mention, is at one point I tried to stick the magnets down back to front, which meant, yes you know it . . . they repelled each other! Good job that the glue didn't work that time, otherwise, it would never have closed!! So, I will have to wait and see what happens after the 'No More Nails' has had a job to settle!
In the meantime, I have got some 'Billy' bookcases coming tomorrow from our nearest Ikea store 200 miles away, so my craft space will be out of action while we assemble the bookcases and get them up! If I ever get that large purse/handbag finished I will post it here for you to see!
