  1. Oh that darn glue! Oh that darn crookedness! You're like me, though... you've got that see-it-through-to-the-end-no-matter-what attitude! This hop is so much fun. It's nice to see we all struggle a bit! Bev

  2. LOL!....I have done this soooooo many times....glue and all!!
There are ideas that refuse to be made into cards....LOL, and metallic papers do not like to cooperate with glue and alcohol at all.
    Still a pretty card.

  3. I tend to ignore bloopers like that Hazel LOL
It's my way with coping missers LOL But I do like this card my friend.

  5. Giggles! I did do a jump when I saw the splotch of silver under your lovely gold stripe! eeek! I think you did a great job of recovering. You can always give that card to someone with bad eye sight : ) Your second card the other day was STUNNING by the way though!! Great story! Thank you for sharing : )

  7. You salvaged it beautifully! I really love the look of it. And, I am always getting things crooked. I guess I might as well it "my style" now. LOL

  8. I'm glad you persevered, because the card actually turned out quite pretty! I had no idea silver was underneath gold?! Now we both know :)

  9. I'm impressed that you persevered with this card, it would have been flying across the room in a ball in my craft room. Its opposite card was amazing. Cara x

  10. It's a pretty card...but I know it's hard to look past my mistakes, even when hidden~ To answer your question, I believe it was an EK Success adhesive eraser (or remover). I did a quick search of images to be sure. I've also heard rubbing baby powder on a project takes off the sticky factor (but is probably messy on certain colors). Thank you for sharing!

  12. Oh my, Hazel..I laughed out loud at your card's 'contrariness' about being made and your persistence in showing it who was boss! I'm all too familiar with askew-ness and glue blobs! Cheering your resilience! Thanks for sharing you oopsie with mega smile-making capacity...

  17. Such a small spot and the big deal! The card is beautiful, and as you put a small flower on the right side, will be the most beautiful card under the sun. I love it very elegant combination of gold, white and black. The unique card,
I wish you a nice weekend, my friend, Hazel,

  18. I still like your card Hazel. I think we all make mistakes all the time lol.Someone once said how immaculate my cards look. What she didn't know was that if I find a smudge etc I just remove it digitally!.....oh dear now my secret is out shhhh ☺ Viv xx

  19. At first I thought you were going to say that this card is really blue and black not gold and white like the dress on the internet last year, but then I read your previous post and can commiserate with you. Crooked is a dirty word in the craft room, isn't it! But you persevered and this is a great save.

  20. In-spite of the struggles with this card and the boo boo's, it sure is a pretty card Hazel! I've had plenty of boo boo cards, but they usually don't make it to my blog very often. That is a good thing!!! Hugs, Brenda

  24. Hazel, the splotch of silver under your gold stripe would have upset me ~ for a minute or so. You managed a great recovering! :-)

  25. I spent all of yesterday evening trying to rescue a similar project that I couldn't repair I nearly cried in the end, its sitting in my craft room now waiting for me to carry on with, I spent hours making it and I really don't want to chuck it. I feel your pain but it worked out well in the end.

  27. Whew, your blow by blow description of all the card mishaps, from off kilter die cut, to stray adhesive, had me hyperventilating because I think we've all gone through that. However, my disasters never look this beautiful!

  28. As Jane said, who looks for the perfection shall buy industrial card. :-) I like the design of your lovely card.
