A Bit Of A Cheat!

Today, sweet friends, my card is a "bit of a cheat".  As you will probably know, I have been reorganising my craft space and have been unable to craft very much - mostly down to the fact that I can't find anything - you see, there was some order to my chaos!  So, the next few cards will probably be cards that I have made previously but not posted!

This card was made when I was trying out my new Penny Black wreath die and I took advantage of making another Christmas card for this years stash.

I cut the wreath from gold foil card and the bow out of red foil card.  Then, I embossed the sentiment in gold sparkle embossing powder - which, on reflection, was a mistake, I don't like it and wish I had embossed in in just metallic gold, but it is what it is!  Onward with the organising!

Have a wonderful weekend folks!

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know! If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

  1. This wreath is one I have always loved the look of Hazel and it looks so beautiful in gold with the red gems and bow and the sparkly sentiment is actually very pretty. Glad your reorganising is coming on well and look forward to seeing how it looks when finished. I have been tidying my space and relooking at everything, and debating whether to keep it or not, and where to put it if keeping it takes quite a bit of time, and I was more than delighted when it was finished..lol. Hope the rest of your weekend is good. x

  2. Not cheating at all - you still made it. I love the gold wreath. Have you added in some red sparkles? It's a nice touch. And I love having a good clear out and tidy up in January. I am moving all my craft things into a new space in a few months. Having a good clear out too! Xx

    1. I like the simple design of your card - you really let the pretty wreath take center stage. I have some gold, sparkly EP, and I've been disappointed with it when I use it on sentiments. I've switched to just using the metallic stuff for my sentiments, so I understand how you feel.

  7. The gold and red foil wreath is gorgeous Hazel!! LOVE it! You made this card, so it's not cheating to post it just because you made it a while ago. We probably ALL do that ... I know I have. :)

Hope the organizing is going well. It's a monumental task, isn't it??!! I'm doing the same here. My studio is getting there. I'm just happy to be back in it and have proper lighting. My temporary space during the studio reno was dark ... I mean DARK! It's good to have light! :) Take care. xx

  8. Very good for you at tackling the organization. I get started, move a couple things, then stop. It's chaos here too, and no excuse, cause I bought 2 new cabinets for Christmas, and Mr. has assembled them. It is just very discouraging to know where to start! I bet you know exactly what I mean. I admire you for digging in, getting 'er done. I also love how you've used this fabulous die (yes, I have it, not sure I've ever used it). The red foil with the gold of the wreath is just spectacular too. Will probably have to CASE this one! Hope all is going well. Down to read your earlier post! Hugs & Happy New year.

  9. I knew there was a downside to organizing! You don't remember where you put things! I better leave my chaos then as it is! LOL! Your CAS card is very elegant!

  12. Hi Hazel, I've been MIA due to illness so I hadn't visited this one yet. I love that wreath it looks grand and delicate at the same time, so pretty. I see what you mean with the heat embossing of your sentiment but still it does look nice though. Hugs, Veerle x
