A Very Quick Update

Hi all my lovely friends.  I'm not stopping.  Just wanted to say a very big thank you for all your kind and caring messages, with regards to my sweet mother.

I am sorry to have to tell you, that it was nothing to do with her not drinking.  It turns out that she has Chronic Heart Failure and the only thing that they can do for her now is to ease her symptoms as best they can.  There are complications with that as she only has one working kidney and that one is in very poor too and the meds they want to give her will not help with her kidney health!

I am going up to the hospital every day, and she still manages a smile for me, but it breaks my heart seeing her so very very poorly and incapacitated!  I can't type any more I'm afraid, but I know that you will all understand and forgive my absence.

Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart for all your well wishes and prayers.  I will keep you posted.   Love to you all.

  1. Oh, Hazel! My heart goes out to you and so do my prayers. We went through the same thing with my Dad a year and a half ago and the pain is still fresh. I pray your Mum is comfortable and glad that she know you are close by. I'm sure that brings her peace. Warm hugs, my friend.

  3. Thinking of you, Hazel... and sending all my love. X
I'm not one you need to be strong in front of, so you know where I am if you need to unload.
I hope you are managing to look after yourself, too.
    Take care. X

  9. I'm sorry, Hazel. It's good that they have properly diagnosed her and she can get the care she needs to be made comfortable. It's hard, I know, but you and she are both blessed to have her so close that you can go and see her every day and spend this time with her. Wrapping you in love and hugs, Darnell
