Still Not Feeling It!

Hi crafty friends!  I think you will probably guess from the title of this post - but in case there is any doubt - I am still in a funk.  The weather is still not being kind, although the sun did show it's face today, however, it's still bitterly cold, so I am hoping it will get better now.  It's been so miserable, and I'm still not happy for other reasons that I won't bring you down with.

I hope you are all well and happy.  I decided that I really ought to try and drag myself out of this awful mire.

Anywho, I did what I usually do when my mojo deserts me.  I got out some pre-made bits and bobs.  I already had the flowers that I had coloured previously, so I started with them.  The next thing I did was punch some vellum leaves.  I found the die cut medallion and arranged my flowers and leaves on one corner of it.  Then I stamped the greeting.
Finally, I dry embossed a floral border, fussy cut it out and adhered it to a vanilla card base, then added the decorated medallion and sprayed with a little shimmer spray.

Here it is.

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know!

If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

  2. Every detail on your card is wonderful! Those vellum leaves are the perfect addition to your already colored flowers, and the medallion and embossed floral border set them off beautifully!

  3. I think the weather and lack of light on grey days does play a big part in how we feel, and I have not been feeling greatly creative either Hazel, but hope that the weather will improve a bit more by the time we get into March, and at least the nights are getting lighter now. I think this card you have made is very creative and pretty with that dry embossed border, and the medallion and flowers stand out beautifully against it and the vellum leaves are so light and airy. x

  12. I'm so sorry you're still in a funk. The weather doesn't really help at all and it feels like winter is never ending. I have to say that you make a good card from bits and bobs even when you're in a funk. Keep plodding on and you will get there. Thinking of you! xxx

  17. I am sorry to hear that things are not going well for you and that you are unhappy! I hope everything will lighten up soon! Your wonderful card does not reflect your mood - you still have the touch! All the elements go so well together and you bits-and-bobs container got a little emptier - yay!
