Only for 3 weeks, as I will be away with no access to the internet - I know, I've only just started it, right? But, I promise that when I regain access once again. I will try to post on a regular basis.
Anyway, this is a CAS card that I made with my Simon Says Stamp 'Air Vent' die (the negative part) and a Memory Box die (I think?) leaf stem, coloured with watercolour inks, covered with Wink Of Stella in clear and a liberal coating of Glossy Accents.
I was quite pleased with the end result . . . this is my kind of style.
Let me know if this is your kind of style, or what you are into at the moment.
Thanks for visiting!

And now for something different . . !
Different? Well, this is a 'hybrid' card (a card made using a mixture of digital and traditional card methods in the same card.
I used a Kraft card base, a strip of patterned paper and a greeting - all printed on my printer.
Next, I stamped the flowers & leaves and die cut them using my Stampin' Up 'Flower Fair' bundle. Then, I used some strips of coloured cardstock and punched a border using my Stampin' Up border punch and mounted it all on a plain white background and mounted it to the base card.
To finish, I added some tiny pearls, a touch of Wink Of Stella glitter pen in clear & a resin flower.
Do any of you like the hybrid cards, or are you true traditionalists?

CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #91
Today I thought I'd make a start on this blog before I go away for 3 weeks. So this is my very first 'proper' post.
I thought I would start with a sketch challenge from CAS(E) This Sketch - Challenge #91, which can be found HERE
This is the sketch
From this sketch, I made this card
First, I used a negative die cut for the top layer, then, I made a glittered background piece which I stencilled with embossing paste.
Next, I stamped the greeting on the top layer and layered it over my background piece with foam tape for dimension.
I topped it with a stamped & die cut flower from the 'Flower Fair' set by Stampin' Up.
I was quite pleased with the result!

New To Blogging
Hello everyone, as you will have realised from the title of this post . . . I am a newbie blogger and I haven't a clue what I am doing.
So, if this blog is a shambles at present and makes you want to leave screaming, I will understand, but all I ask is that you bare with me and I will get there eventually and this blog will become the, slick, interesting blog you had obviously hoped for when you came here!
Thanks for your patience!
