A Very Long Absence
Hello my faithful friends. I hope you are well. I know that it has been a very long while since I have posted a card and visited all you lovely people, but life just gets in the way sometimes!
I recently grabbed a few moments to make some cards (I just haven't felt like it in a long time), but felt that I needed to use some of the vast amounts of supplies that have been sat waiting for me to return! They are not as good as I'd like, but hey ho, it is what it is, and they are what they are!
Windows updated itself a week or two ago and choked so badly, I had no option but to reset my laptop to it's factory state and reinstall all my programs. However, now most of them will not work with this latest 'update' to Windows!! So, long story short, my old Adobe Photoshop will no longer work, and the new Adobe CS is subscription only, which isn't worth me subscribing to as I wouldn't use it enough! So, please excuse the quality of the photos too as I am using a free program at present!
I will post the others soon!
Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment. You are all appreciated more than you know!
If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

Pretty card Hazel. So happy to see you back and creating. Aren't computer a pain in the neck??!! Can't live with them, can't live without them. :) Hope you get it all sorted out soon. xx
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! Your card is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLovely to see you back Hazel and this card is beautiful and I love the dotty background and the pretty added flowers, and the dry embossed leaves behind the window. Sorry you have been having so much trouble since the update, it is so frustrating when everything is incompatible afterwards, and you literally have to start again. Actually the photos are fine so don't worry about that. Hopefully everything will slot back into place from now on. x

It's good to see you back, Hazel! I think this card is beautiful! Love that embossing in the aperture and the fun polka dots and flowers!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! The embossed vellum is lovely! Glad you are making cards again!
ReplyDeleteWelcome back in blogland, Hazel! I've seen on Instagram that you have been doing more sewing lately which is awesome but it's also good to see you making cards again! Your card looks fantastic! The little flowers around the scalloped circle are so sweet and I adore the touch of vellum and the dotted background!
ReplyDeleteComputers!! AGH!! I am sorry it's been such a pain for you, but I am so so glad you are back and posting and also making. I understand entirely that sometimes you just can't find the mojo ir the urge for it, but I have missed your posts and hope to see you now and again back in blogland. The cards are lovely - beautiful colours and simple design is always a winner. xxx
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see you back Hazel. I love this card and am happy you've gotten some paper creativity going along with your amazing sewing I catch glimpses of on IG. I just bought a new laptop - I was running Vista, but my browser Firefox won't support it any longer. So I'm diving into W10. I just picked up photoshop elements 18 - hopefully it is not the subscription one. I'd been using elements 6 but it won't go with W10. SO I feel your pain at least a little bit.
ReplyDeleteso good to have you back Hazel with this lovely card - wonderful design and so bright and cheery - i was without internet all last week 'cause i'm vacationing where there was no wifi and that is a bummer too.
ReplyDeleteHazel your card is so beautiful! Welcome back to the land of paper, and greetings! We've missed you, and your lovely cards!
