Still No Mojo

Hello crafty friends!  I am popping in today to show you my latest card.  It is for my Mum's birthday.  I couldn't even find the inspiration for that.  I have to admit to cheating . . . badly.  You might recognise this one.  It is a card that I had made previously and had in my stash, which I cut the front off and mounted it to a larger card base on which I embossed with a stencil, colouring the paste to the colours used on the card.  I sprinkled the paste with iridescent glitter before it was dry.

In the meantime, whilst my mojo has deserted me, I am doing some sewing (that doesn't require any creative input).

Above is a dress that I made by attaching a piece of plain black fabric - that I gathered -  to a sleeveless top that I made a little while ago.  The piece hanging around the neck of the hanger is a 'self belt', made from the same fabric as the top.

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know!

If you have a question, please be sure I have a way to contact you so I can answer, as a lot of you are 'no-reply' bloggers, so I am unable to reply via e-mail.

A Couple More Sewing Projects

Hello crafty friends!  I hope you are all well.  I have been doing a couple more sewing projects.  Sorry, I haven't done a card in a while, I promise to get one done soon.

My first project today, is a large tote bag.  It is padded and lined and I used some of the fabric that I used for my cushions and lined it with a daisy print fabric.

The second project is an e-book reader cover, also padded and lined.

This gorgeous fabric was gifted to me by one of the lovely ladies that I craft with on a Wednesday evening.

Don't look too closely at the projects as they are far from perfect, but I am learning all the time!

Thank you so much for your visit today and especially if you have left a comment.  You are all appreciated more than you know!

Something A Bit Different

Hello everybody.  I hope you have all had a good week so far.  I have been playing with my new toy - my new sewing machine - today, I am showing one of my first projects.

I used to sew in my early teens and young adulthood, but as clothes got cheaper and life got busier, I just stopped.  So, as it has been so long, I wanted to start small, with something easy.

I wanted some new cushion covers, so I decided that would be a good place to start.  They are nothing special, and they aren't complicated to make, but I had fun making them.

Here are a couple of pictures of them.

** EDIT **  I forgot to mention that, the fabric came from a duvet cover that I purchased because I loved the print.  And I put a zip/zipper in, in order that I may wash them.
