A CASE'D Card for Fun!

Today, I thought I'd do something different and CASE one of my crafting inspirations Loll Thompson of StampingWithLoll  If you click on the name, it will take you straight to her amazing blog with all her wonderful designs.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find the actual card that I CASE'd - I had seen it on Pinterest quite a while ago now - but I'd always meant to try it!  If I find it again, I will link to it.

Of course, I've changed the design a bit and my card is nowhere near as clean and beautiful as Loll's, but it was mainly the little parcles that I wanted to recreate.

So, without further ado.  Here is my card.

I have never CASE'd a card before - it always felt like 'cheating' somehow and I do not wish to offend anyone by copying their work - but I couldn't resist those sweet little parcels.

Supplies used:

Various embossing folders, bakers twine, textured cardstock,
Neenha Solar White card base
Hero Arts background stamp.
Clearly Besotted 'Happy' die and the birthday part from their 'Little Sentimental' stamp set

Thank you for taking the time to visit and for any comments.  I will always reciprocate where possible.  have a great weekend.  Hazel x

Happy Little Stampers - February CAS Challenge - Embossing

Today I thought I'd make a very quick card for the, Happy Little Stampers - February CAS Challenge - Embossing

I had appointments, so I needed to do something really quickly - I had such a blast last month for the HLS CAS challenge, that I am hoping to throw myself into this one too - so, I decided to recreate a card I made for someone a while ago and it was well received, so I'm hoping that this one will be too.

As it is all about embossing and CAS - lots of white space - I decided to make the embossing the star of the show, so, it is a really simple card, in that it involved just one embossing folder and one stamp . . . can't get much simpler eh?

Sorry this post is super rushed, but I have to go out again soon and I wanted to get this up.  Only one picture today, but I promise to be back with a longer post on Thursday - tomorrow I'm having to take my eighty-nine year old mother to have a cateract operation, so I won't be around much then.

Anyway, as always, thanks for popping by and for any comments.  I appreciate you all and will try to reciprocate where possible.  Have a good day/evening!  Hazel xx
